Primary Purpose:
Maintain, repair and install kitchen related equipment as required throughout the Flour Bluff School District. The role of the Equipment Technician is to provide repairs, installation, and maintain operation of all kitchen equipment in district facilities. The Equipment Technician will assist other trades as needed.
Education/Certification
- High School Diploma or GED is desirable
- One-year experience in commercial or institutional quantity kitchen equipment maintenance is desirable.
- Completion of adult school or college courses pertaining to maintenance equipment service is desirable.
- Must be able to obtain a commercial CDL (Passenger and School bus endorsements) with in 90 days with assistance from school district.
Special Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
- Ability to repair and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written refence material
- Be computer literate
- Knowledge of pneumatic controls
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand power tools
Experience:
- Three years experience in the HVAC field, preferred
- Three years experience in kitchen equipment, preferred
